Frequently Asked Questions

Q.   Do you perform injections only or do you prescribe medications also?

We are a comprehensive pain practice and do both.

Q.  Will I need a referral to come and see you?

This depends on your insurance.  Many of our new patients do not require a referral.  If you call our office, we will work with your physicians and insurance to get you scheduled in a timely fashion.

Q.  Do I have to be seen in clinic before I can have a procedure done?

No, your physician can refer you to us for an injection only.

Q.  Do I need to bring all of my records to my first visit?

Of course it is helpful if you have records (especially MRI reports) from the last 2-3 years.  However, it is not required to be seen in our clinic.  We routinely request old records on behalf of our patients.

Q. What do I need to know regarding a scheduled surgery?

You will need to have an escort drive you to and from surgery. It is important that you not have food or drink after midnight the night before  Lastly, please inform your doctor if you are taking blood thinners.

Q. Do I need to bring my medications?

Please be prepared to bring in any current medications you are taking. Additionally, a physician may ask you to bring in opiate medications for a pill count.
