About

We are excited to welcome Dr. Sayal to the team at the Institute of Precision Pain Medicine. His philosophy for patient care is simple - listen to his patient. Initially, this seemed like an obvious concept learned in medical school, but over time it has led him regularly to the right diagnosis and the ability to tailor his treatment plan to the needs of his patients. Personalizing care in the field of pain medicine is key to making the treatment meaningful to patients and improving their quality of life on their terms. Dr. Sayal is committed to understanding what is important to you, as a patient and an individual, and focusing his care on the aspects of life you want to see improve.

 

Dr. Sayal is originally from Canada and completed his undergraduate degree in pharmacology/toxicology and psychology at the University of Western Ontario, and went on to complete a Masters in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in London, England before medical school. He went on to complete his medical degree at the George Washington University where he graduated with Honors and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism medical honor societies. After medical school. Dr. Sayal completed specialty training in Anesthesiology at the prestigious Harvard University (Massachusetts General Hospital) and went on to complete his Pain Medicine training at the renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. He brings together a diversity of training, combining an international background with cutting edge treatment options.

 

Dr. Sayal is focused on the improvement of his patient's lives, as defined by them. He brings together a multidisciplinary team to care for his patients, ensuring they benefit from the specific expertise of specialists focused on each element of the patient's diagnosis.

When he's not in the clinic, he's spending time with his kiddos and exploring South Texas.
